Doug Fenwick
Managing Director, MPX Energy Limited and MPX (Oil & Gas) Limited
Doug graduated from Imperial College with a M.Sc. (Distinction) in Petroleum Geology. He has 30 years oil & gas industry experience, 27 of which are with operating companies. He has extensive knowledge of all aspects of exploration and development, including 18 years as a technical manager or director. In particular, he has been closely associated with multi-disciplinary teams, either in Exploration, Development Geoscience or in Exploration New Ventures, in particular working as ARCO’s ‘Missed Pay Specialist’ and more recently with ATP Oil and Gas (UK) Ltd and Serica Energy (UK) Ltd. Doug served as treasurer of the PESGB in 2002-03 and is now Chairman of the Audit Panel of The Geological Society.
Rod Crawford
Technical Director, MPX (Oil & Gas) Limited
Rod graduated from the University of Wales with a B.Sc. in Geophysics and has spent 30 years in the oil & gas industry undertaking seismic acquisition (land and marine), processing (time and depth) and principally, interpretation. Rod’s wide experience includes the appropriate use of seismic inversion, attributes and reservoir characterisation over the whole range of geological environments; rifts, foldbelts and forelands; both clastic and carbonate reservoirs; post/sub salt and sub basalt targets. Additionally, Rod has been an active member of several multi-disciplinary teams looking at projects as diverse as frontier exploration, prospect definition, field development studies and equity determinations.
Martin Rowe
Commercial Director, MPX (Oil & Gas) Limited
Martin graduated from Camborne School of Mines with a B.Eng. in Mining Engineering. During his 20 years in the oil & gas industry, Martin has gained detailed experience in reservoir, petroleum, production and drilling engineering, including significant operational exposure. In addition to his engineering expertise, Martin also has a strong background in the commercial and financial aspects of the upstream industry, including the negotiation of a full suite of UK North Sea gas offtake agreements. Martin’s geographical experience encompasses the Middle East, Offshore West Africa, South East Asia and the South Atlantic.
Jacqueline Kilford
Administration Director, MPX (Oil & Gas) Limited & Company Secretary, MPX Energy Limited
Jacqui has 30 years managerial, administrative and technical experience gained across a broad range of industries in the UK and overseas, the last 19 years of which have been in the oil & gas sector. She has experience in public and private corporate administration and company secretarial functions with Serica Energy Plc. Her background includes investor relations, personnel management and health and safety co-ordination. Jacqui gained a B.Sc. in Geosciences from the Open University in 2010.
James qualified as a chartered accountant (ACA) in 1983 after gaining a B.Sc. in Geology from Exeter University. James spent 21 years in the financial services sector with particular focus on financial operations and compliance; including key management appointments and directorships at LIFFE Ltd, The London Clearing House Ltd and Cargill Investor Services Ltd. In 2002 he became an independent consultant and has worked with a wide range of companies on a variety of accounting, financial and fund raising issues.
Coen, a Dutch national and trained geoscientist, spent a major part of his career with Statoil in different roles within the upstream industry. He has led several exploration projects in Norway and helped PTTEP in Thailand to build-up a technical department. As chief geophysicist in OKIOC he was directly involved in the Kashagan discovery in the Caspian Sea. Returning to The Netherlands, Coen joined Wintershall as area manager for the exploration and development of circa 20 operated blocks in the North Sea. He became director of Gas Plus for international upstream expansion and within two years brought Gas Plus an attractive exploration portfolio, including two commercial discoveries offshore in Romania. In November 2008 he joined Sorgenia as Vice President Exploration Europe.
Jon was previously Vice President, Administration and Investor Relations at Serica Energy Corporation and a member of their management team from the foundation of the Company. He has over 33 years commercial experience, half of which has been spent in the Far East with companies as diverse as Lesney, TNT and PhotoMe International. In the 1980’s Jon founded and eventually sold his own company, Johnson’s Fresh Products Ltd which focussed on fresh juices. In 1994 he formed a Business Consultancy specialising in advice and fund raising to diverse start-up companies.
Federico graduated from Turin University Law School in 2001 with an Honours degree in Business Law and is a member of the Italian Bar. Following a training period working for a primary Italian law firm specialising in IP matters, and the Italian Antitrust Authority dealing with antitrust and misleading advertising matters, Federico moved to Allen & Overy in 2003 where he completed his training and became an associate specialising in energy law. In 2008 Federico joined Sorgenia S.p.A. as in-house Counsel, with general responsibility for all legal matters of the Group.
Fabio graduated from the University of Pavia in 1995 with a degree in Economics and subsequently continued his training with a tax firm in Milan to become a certified Public Accountant and Auditor in 2000. After gaining experience at Ernst & Young, Fabio joined US pharmaceutical Amgen S.p.A. as Tax & Finance Manager, before moving to Nordex Italia, a wind farm construction company, as Tax & Finance Director. In 2008 Fabio became head of Sorgenia S.p.A.’s Tax Group, reporting directly to the Group CFO.
